Geraldine DunnJ Obituary: Auburn Resident Passes at Age 90

Feb. 26, 2026 — Auburn, N.Y. Geraldine DunnJ, a longtime Auburn resident who worked at Sears, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 90, according to her obituary published today in The Citizen.

Geraldine DunnJ, born July 17, 1935, to Lula and Harry Fordyce, was known to friends as Gerri, to family as Mama, and to her late husband Bob as Sam. Bob Dunn predeceased her on May 10, 2023. The obituary highlights Geraldine DunnJ’s career handling catalog orders and assisting women with clothing at Sears in Auburn, where she was described as a “clotheshorse.”

Family Survivors

Geraldine DunnJ is survived by daughters Leslie Kiniry (Kevin) and Robin Dudden (Jeff, deceased); son Stephen Dunn (Tracy); six grandchildren Brandon Kopp, Kimberly Kiniry (Andrew), Meghan Murphy (Louis), Amanda Erbeck, Griffin Dunn, and Reese Dunn; and four great-grandchildren Natalie Erbeck, Evelyn Erbeck, Zachary Kanuck, and Lucas Kanuck.

Life Celebration and Arrangements

A Celebration of Life for Geraldine DunnJ is scheduled for April 26, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Masonic Temple in Auburn. Arrangements are being handled by White Chapel Funeral Home, with a private interment at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Mama told all of us that she wanted no flowers when she died- she wanted them all while she was alive to enjoy them.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association or a favorite charity in Geraldine DunnJ’s honor.
