Warhill High School Teacher Arrested on Sexual Assault, Assault Charges Involving Three Female Students
Feb. 23, 2026 — James City County, Va. James City County Police arrested Andre Scione, a 34-year-old teacher at Warhill High School, on two counts of sexual assault and three counts of assault and battery of a minor involving three female students.
Scione, of the 3300 block of Geddy Terrace in Toano, was previously employed at Toano Middle School, where the alleged incidents began in 2024 while the victims were students there, according to multiple reports. He is currently held at Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail pending bond.
Investigation Timeline
The investigation started in October 2025 after one victim came forward, leading to Scione’s placement on administrative leave by Williamsburg-James City County Schools on October 2, 2025. Police described the case as involving “inappropriate conduct” with the three female students, all minors at the time, when they attended Toano Middle School.
The probe remains active, with additional charges possible.
