Bryan Isaac Ramirez Charged in Santa Barbara City College Stabbing After Ventura Pursuit
Feb. 24, 2026 — Santa Barbara, Calif. Bryan Isaac Ramirez charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy in connection with a stabbing incident at Santa Barbara City College East Campus on Feb. 18, authorities confirmed. The 18-year-old Santa Barbara resident and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Goleta were arrested Feb. 23 following a police pursuit in Ventura.
Santa Barbara Police Sgt. Bryan Kerr stated, > “We can confirm the two guys arrested in Ventura were also involved in the assault with the deadly weapon at Santa Barbara City College.”
The stabbing occurred around 4:48 p.m. near the Earth and Biological Sciences Building after a verbal altercation escalated, resulting in a male student victim sustaining non-life-threatening lacerations to his upper body, according to Noozhawk.

On Feb. 23, Ventura police spotted a stolen vehicle in the 3300 block of East Main Street. Detectives observed two males enter and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle collided with a parked car near Ventura High School, prompting a temporary lockdown. Suspects fled on foot onto campus and were apprehended around 7:30 p.m., per KEYT News and the City of Ventura blog.

Charges Against Bryan Isaac Ramirez
Bryan Isaac Ramirez charged with additional Ventura offenses including felony assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, felony evading, unlawful taking of a vehicle, and felony child endangerment. He was booked into Ventura County Jail with a $250,000 bail enhancement linked to the SBCC case, sources reported.
