Denis Leary Embraces ‘Nepo Parent’ Label in Promotions for ‘Going Dutch’ Season 2 with Son Jack
Feb. 24, 2026 — Los Angeles Denis Leary and his son Jack Leary continue to promote Fox’s renewed sitcom Going Dutch, with Denis appearing on multiple late-night shows in January 2026 to discuss their on-set collaboration, Jack’s upcoming wedding, and Denis dubbing himself a “nepo parent.”
Fox renewed Going Dutch for a second season in May 2025, alongside Animal Control, with both single-camera comedies set to return in the 2025-2026 primetime schedule. Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn praised the shows, stating,

Father-Son Collaboration on Set
In a June 2025 interview with TheWrap, the Learys described fostering an “electric” improvisational atmosphere on Going Dutch. Denis noted they would perform scripted scenes then “immediately starting to play with [it].” Jack credited his start in the industry as a production assistant on Denis’s FX series Rescue Me, where Denis treated him professionally: “That was really good guys. Denis, that sucked. Do something else.”
Jack serves as the “Denis whisperer,” offering candid feedback. The series follows Colonel Patrick Quinn (Denis Leary), reassigned to a remote Army base, clashing with his estranged daughter Maggie (Taylor Misiak). The Learys highlighted Misiak’s chemistry with Denis, calling it “electric.”
