The victim received texts and calls from someone posing as a credit union fraud investigator claiming his account was compromised. He placed banking cards in his mailbox, which were retrieved, and withdrew $10,000 in cash. In his driveway, the suspect grabbed the cash bag, fled in a vehicle registered to his father Quentin Hart, and dragged the pursuing victim, causing minor injuries, detailed in search warrant applications. Stolen cards were later used for over $1,000 in ATM withdrawals in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, and Waterloo.
